Pia-Kelsey O'Neill

Postdoc

Pia completed her Ph.D. dissertation at Columbia University in the lab of Dr. Joshua Gordon where she combined in vivo electrophysiology and pharmaco-genetics in mice to investigate the functional role of hippocampal and thalamic inputs to the prefrontal cortex during spatial working memory. She is currently interested in the contribution of projection-defined neural populations within the amygdala to representations of valence during reversal learning and how valence encoding can be modified by changes in internal state.
